Who are they?
The Countryside Alliance Awards (formerly the Best Rural Retailer competition) was created by the Countryside Alliance as a way of celebrating our rural communities, skills and produce. The competition is nomination led so that the customers have the chance to celebrate the retailers who go the extra mile for you and your community.

About their web site
The 2008 competition is open to nominations. The site has on-line nomination forms which are held in a database together with a simple text download for use in mail merges etc.

Also there are supporting publications including the rules, the history, the aims of the competition and information about past winners.
